I really want to listen to Lady Gaga, but I feel as though she doesn't care about the allies. In her song, Born This Way, she mentions gays, straights, bi's (what are those), and transgendereds (also what?), but there is no mention of allies. In her new song, Donatella, she tells you to ask for your gay friend's advice. But what about asking for your ally friend's advice. Aren't their opinions equally valid? How can I get past this, so I can enjoy Lady Gaga again?
Lady Gaga is sadly one of the many artists the forgets the A in LGBTA. Sure, gays were born this way, but so were allies. It’s hard for an ally to listen to her music since her songs so clearly exclude us from the LGBTA experience. I wish I knew a way to get past it, but I’ve just stopped listening to her because her songs were to insensitive to me. March on my little mackleminion!
Why do gays keep telling me that the library is open? I didn’t ask and I don’t care…
